CALL FORWARDING SCAM - STAY SAFE FROM SCAMMERS

╰┈➤ Call forwarding scam, in this attack, fraudsters impersonate customer service representatives from mobile or internet service providers and contact unsuspecting smartphone users, pretending to address issues related to internet, account security, or SIM cards. 

╰┈➤ They gain victim's trust and then instruct them to dial a specific number, typically starting with 401. 

╰┈➤ By dialing this number, call forwarding is activated, diverting all incoming calls to the scammer's device. 

╰┈➤ This allows the scammers to intercept Calls, One-Time Passwords (OTPs) and gain unauthorized access to the victim's accounts, including messaging apps and bank accounts.
