Life history of Stephen Hawking

Stephen Hawking is one of the greatest scientists of the 21st century. He proposed and proved many theories related to astronomy. He explained the black hole theory. He wrote a book called 'The Brief History of Time' in which he explained about black hole. He also explained the concepts of relativity and big-bang theory in this book.

Stephen Hawking suffered from a fatal motor neurone disease that affected his spinal cord. In the early stages of the disease, which started in 1960, doctors predicted that they would not live more than 5 years. Later his body became paralyzed and he moved around in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Although he could not sit up straight, he continued to work on his physics theories and amazed medical experts by living for 55 years.

Together with his friends, he made a computer by combining recycled parts to solve complex mathematical equations.

Stephen Hawking was 17 years old when he joined Oxford University. He wanted to study mathematics there, but did not have a special degree in mathematics, so he turned to physics, then he turned to cosmology. After graduating in natural science in 1962, he went to Cambridge University to do a PhD in cosmology. In 1968, he was appointed a member of the Cambridge Institute of Astronomy, which gave a new direction to his research. That's when he started researching the black hole. He was inducted into the Royal Society at the World Wide Fellowship of Scientists in 1974. In 1979, he became professor of mathematics education at the University of Cambridge.

Stephen Hawking, at the age of 21, was exposed to a dangerous neurological disease. Due to this, the nerve cells that control the muscle movements in the body gradually stop working. Doctors said Stephen Hawking could only live for the next few years. His illness became a big reason for him to continue his studies and he became a great scientist. Hawking himself said that his life was very boring until he was diagnosed with the disease. However, after the diagnosis, when he realized that he could only live for a few years, he turned his attention to his work and research so that he could make full use of the rest of his life. In 1985, he lost his voice completely due to this disease and california computer programmers came to help him. The software was developed based on eye movement. In his research on collaboration towards science, he discovered that if the universe began with the Big Bang, it would end with the Big Bang. He also explained Albert Einstein's theory of relativity. Combining the General Theory of Relativity and Quantum Theory, he gave us the concept of Hawking radiation.
